Hi Everyone,

We are looking to upgrade our soft floor camper trailer to a hard floor one. It has been a great trailer and done a couple of Trips to the Cape but I want something which is faster to set up and also makes roadside stops for lunch etc easier. We were looking at the KK and the Campomatic then came across the Adventure Offroad Campers. The kitchen area looks great with the roll out awning but not sure how it atttaches to the tent area. I would be worried about rain as in North Qld not often do we go camping without it raining!! Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ann

Hi stoodsam,
Have a look at the Ultimate. Not bad canvas apparently.

Hi stoodsam,

saw the factory F-Truck conversion up here camping. They attach the tent area to the rear of the camper tray and it folds away in a novel way at the base of the tray. This is the only one I have seen fold away in this way. The kitchen was excellent.

No I dont have one, I use a swag.

Cheers

ROTFL at Camwill69.

Anyways I have had a rented Adventure Offroad Camper in some tough territory and it has some good innovation, lots of storage and apparently good construction - I have an open question about the longevity of the pull out bed section mechanism, but they seem to stand right behind their product and I have seen no failures.

flexible, practical, and the kitchen area can be closed in - I'm unsure if this is optional or not. You can go right around to the front under cover to where the fridge is too.

Cheers,
Andrew.

G'day Ann,

I have an Adventure camper & absolutely love it. (Disclaimer) I do their Photography, Web & Video work.

In March I finished a DVD for them that we shot over a few trips last year. It goes for 1.5hrs, and has almost everything you could want to know demonstratrated, as well as interviews with 5 owners etc.

The DVD costs $10 delivered, but if you tell'em Aaron reckoned you should get a freeby, you never know your luck ;)

Give Paul a call on 1800 353 561, and if you do get a DVD, let me know what you thought of it :)

Thanks,

Aaron.

Ann

Also have a look at the Aussie Swag Camper. Great kitchen arrangement which is seperate from the trailer/bed section. This provides heaps of storage space under the bed which can be accessed with the tent section set up or packed up.

Haven't used or owned an Adventure but in my opinion they are the best I have seen. The bed arrangement means you can get off it from either side as opposed to over each other and no ladders are required. Two big plusses. Also you can stop for a coffee with pulling the whole thing apart and if you have a boat you can fully set up and leave the boat undisturbed up on top. If I can get the word "caravan" out of the navigators head I will be buying one.
